A few of us Janathon participants have been contacted by a public relations company asking us to try out the Slendertone System Abs Plus and then write a review. We’ve got to write an initial review/blog when we receive the product and then once we’ve followed the training plan we need to right our review.
Personally, I don’t know where my abs are. I think they are beneath the hairy muffin top that is my waist but it’s been so many years since I’ve seen them I’m not sure. Perhaps they’re under that thing that hides my belt buckle all the time? I really am on a big push this year to get fit and trim down so the offer to review this product couldn’t have come at a better time!
I’ve used this sort of thing before a long time ago, but I didn’t follow the programme correctly and I remember looking like I was having a series of spasms every time I used it. It’s actually really funny and I spent a lot of time laughing whilst using it because you’re supposed to be able to do all day to day tasks whilst using it.
So, it is on the way to me now by recorded delivery. Once I’ve got it I’ll do a report on the item itself, the contents of the box and the programme that comes with it. I promise to use it religiously and give updates as I go (see twitter @TheVR). Anything that increases my core strength and improves my running has got to be good.
As for today’s run, it was 25 mins easy, with 3 min intervals at race pace with 1 min recovery jogs followed up by 15 mins easy. Considering how bad I felt on yesterday’s easy run, today went really well and felt great. This is another day done on my feet for Janathon and another day blogged. I’m 12 for 12 at the moment and I’m confident I’ll get to day 31 without too much trouble.
