Here we are on the 14th of January and just about half way through Janathon. Which, by the way, is really great. I mean, look at all the people reading each other’s blogs and the new friends made on twitter etc. Let’s hope we can all stay in contact and remain regular readers of each other’s stuff. I know I’ll continue to read the blogs I’ve found.
I’m still impressed with how things are going for me at the moment as it’s been 14 days and I’m still managing to run and I don’t have any injuries (hard to type with crossed fingers). Personally, I’m hoping to continue the same level of exercise in to February with potentially 7 days training a week again. Rest days will be a walk to allow body to heal. I’ll see how things go because plans are great but they change all the time. I know that my work is going to get a lot busier and I’ll be spending a lot more time in London so squeezing in early morning runs (or even the evening) could be difficult some days.
If you read yesterday’s post you’ll know that I received the Slendertone System-Abs. I’ve been asked to use it and write a review and today was my second day using it. Today’s ‘session’ was 20 minutes again but more intense. Yesterday I was starting off at a relatively low intensity because I wasn’t sure how to operate it. Today I started higher and I could really feel it.
This morning’s run was an ‘easy’ one and it felt really great. I started off slow and sped up a bit half way through. My legs weren’t tired at all and my breathing was great. I was starting to get concerned the past week or two because my breathing has been quite bad at times even whilst running. I am asthmatic but I use my inhaler before I run (like you’re supposed to), however even then I wasn’t breathing that great at times. That issue seems to have resolved itself and I’m back to normal… well, my version.
