WordPress Security

If anyone else out there has a WordPress blog installed on their own domain name I would strongly suggest you put in place whatever security protocols you can to ensure your site isn’t hacked.

I recently installed some things that tell me who has been trying to access files on my site install and from where and it is quite concerning.  The number of attempts from China is startling.

You can read an article about the attacks here:

WordPress under attack: How to avoid the coming botnet.

Best thing I ever did is update my WordPress security and if you have a WordPress blog then you should too.

One of the great things you can do besides the obvious (i.e. change your username from admin and use complex passwords) is install a great security plugin like Better WP Security.

Take heed!
